Shipping Policy

Overview

CIT B.V. partners with logistics providers across Europe, maintaining accounts at strategically located third-party warehouses. This setup allows us to efficiently store and ship goods without owning or managing warehouses directly. By leveraging these logistics partnerships, we offer flexible and cost-effective shipping solutions tailored to the needs of our customers, while ensuring compliance with EU regulations.

1. Logistics Warehouses and Order Fulfillment

To streamline operations and reduce costs, CIT B.V. utilizes third-party logistics warehouses throughout Europe. Orders may be shipped from any of these facilities based on:

  • Stock availability at specific locations.
  • Cost-efficiency for shipping.
  • Customer preferences regarding delivery terms.

Although our registered office is in Rotterdam, shipments may originate from other logistics facilities. Before completing an order, we always inform customers about the warehouse location of the goods, enabling them to make an informed choice about shipping terms (e.g., EXW or transport-inclusive).

2. Customer Warehouses and Goods Release

Releasing Goods from Logistics Warehouses

If a customer has an open account in a region where we maintain warehouse accounts, we can facilitate the direct “release” of goods to the customer after approval. This allows customers to manage their own logistics and transportation from the warehouse.

Conditions for Goods Release:

  1. The customer’s account must be in good standing.
  2. The customer must comply with all local and EU regulations related to the transfer of goods.

This arrangement ensures flexibility and minimizes lead times by allowing customers to directly access inventory stored at third-party warehouses.

3. Shipping to Third Parties (Customer’s Customers)

For customers who wish to ship goods directly to their own customers, EU regulations regarding intra-community transactions must be followed. These regulations impose strict documentation and compliance requirements.

CIT B.V. may not be able to ship goods directly to third-party recipients if:

  1. The customer is not the final recipient.
  2. VAT and customs compliance cannot be ensured.

In such cases:

  • We will notify the customer and explore compliant alternatives.
  • When direct delivery is not feasible, goods will be released to the customer for onward shipment.

4. Shipping Terms and Options

We offer flexible shipping options to meet the diverse needs of our customers:

  1. EXW (Ex Works): Customers can arrange their own transportation and collect goods directly from the logistics warehouse.
  2. Transport-Inclusive Options: CIT B.V. can provide a quote for shipping goods to the customer’s specified destination.

Before shipment, we provide detailed information regarding:

  • The location of the goods.
  • Associated shipping costs (if applicable).

This ensures customers have complete transparency and can make logistics decisions that align with their business needs.

5. Compliance with EU Regulations

CIT B.V. strictly adheres to all EU regulations governing the movement of goods, including intra-community trade laws, VAT compliance, and customs documentation. We work closely with logistics partners to ensure that all shipments meet these legal requirements.

For customers shipping to third-party recipients, additional compliance steps may be required. We encourage customers to consult with us or seek advice from their own compliance teams to ensure transactions are conducted lawfully.

6. Customer Communication

CIT B.V. prioritizes transparency in our shipping processes. For each order, we will:

  • Clearly state the warehouse location where the goods are stored.
  • Provide options for shipping (EXW or transport-inclusive).
  • Inform the customer of any regulatory considerations or restrictions.

This approach allows our customers to make informed decisions regarding logistics and shipping costs.
